Poetry Reading Success!
The 1st Public Poetry Potluck this past Thursday was a success! With approximately 20 people attending, a great response to Annie E., the featured poet, and a continual flow of people to the open mic including music and poetry. There was plenty of awesome food to choose from and the atmosphere of the Commons Building was very inviting and comfortable. Thank you to all who attended and I am looking forward to the next reading. I think it will probably be around the end of October or the beginning of November. If you would like to be added to the notification e-mail list, please send an e-mail to me beth_millner@yahoo.com and ask to be added to the list!

Poetry Potluck! This Thursday!
I just wanted to put a public thank you out there for all of the business that are housing our posters and also a thank you to Kim and Annie for helping with the poster and information dispersement. I also want to thank Dead River Coffee, which is donating coffee to the Thursday night reading. I also wanted to thank the Downtown Development Association for allowing us the use of the Commons Building on 3rd Street.
Dead River Coffee was the first places to give me a job when I moved to Marquette. The secret to getting a job there is becoming friends with the owners, the owners family, and all of the people who work there. Dead River Coffee is located in the 100 Block of Washington Street in downtown Marquette, MI.
